Woman Jailed For Life For Pouring Acid On Husband

   

                           


The 36-year old Vernicia Ruguru was yesterday, September 9, found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment for burning her husband, Patrick Njue with acid on July 16, 2012 in Embu, Kenya.

Vernicia claimed she did what she did in self defence, after her husband trid to splash the acid on her. The principal magistrate dismissed the claim stating that she would have sustained some injuries if that was the case.The defendant is said to have prepared the children for school on the day of the incident, completed her  house chores, the later walked into their bedroom where Patrick was lying in bed, and splashed acid on him. She then locked the door and escaped only for the neighbours to hear screams from the house, before coming to Njue's rescue.

The evidence in court proved that Vernicia, on hearing that her husband was still alive rushed to the hospital were her husband was admitted in an attempt to finish her mission. She was sentenced to life in prison but was granted 14 days to appeal the judgement.

A 17 year old local girl was admitted to the hospital after she was experiencing severe pain and 18-kg tumour was removed from her abdomen by Saudi doctors.The image scan showed the mass measuring 30 by 25cm, spread from the upper abdomen down to the pelvis.

"It weighed 18 kg, almost a third of the girls weight and caused sharp pain to her.The tumour was removed suceesfully without any complications to the patient." Dr. Hilal Al Malki, a doctor at the hospital revealved.

Doctors successfully seperated conjoined 11-month-old twin girls in an operation at Ohio National Children's Hospital. They were said to be born attached to the pelvic and hip region.The twin girls named Acen and Apio were recovering at the childrens hospital after the long procedure which lasted 16 hours last Thursday.

A Syrian man named Mohammed Rayhan was among the 117 people who had died when the government forces shelled the market place in douma. His family had given up all hope of ever finding him when he failed to return home. However, after three days Mr. Rayhan was found by rescuers trying to pull himself out from a mountain of rubble where he had survived for 36 hours. After being rescued,he went back home and interrupted the final day of mourning, much to the delight of his family.

Tanner Mainstain will agggressively defend all of Ms..Doherty's claims in court.

A Parrot Arrested in India for Insulting Mami Janabai( A Must Read)

                

On tuesday, a parrot wasdetained by the police after an old woman filed a complain againnst it for using foul words and obsene speech at her. The old woman named Janabai filed a complain with the police in Rajura City of Chandrapur District. She said the parrored had been trained by the owner to shower abuses at her each time she passed by his house. The parrot is owned by the old womans step son Suresh.She also held a complaint against him.They both live seperately due to property dispute. registered against him.
